From 80 To 37…It’s Still A Damn Mess!

And then there were 37…

From as high as 80 potential senatorial candidates, the Philippine Commission on Elections has pruned the list down to 37. A total of 42 candidates were declared as “nuisance candidates”. Pundits might argue that the words are synonymous to each other i.e. candidate = nuisance but that’s a lesson in the nuances of the English language.

The lucky 37 are as follows:

KILUSANG BAGONG LIPUNAN
CANDIDATES: Joselito Cayetano (I’m glad he was not disqualified. I want him in if only to spite the bratty Alan Peter Cayetano…), Melchor Chavez, Antonio Estrella, Oliver Lozano, Eduardo Orpilla, Ruben Enciso, and Victor Wood (Victor Wood? What the @#$%^? Did Madame Auring predict a landslide victory for him? Remember the Miss Valenzuela prediction?)
FIGUREHEAD: Ferdinand “Da Apo” Marcos

NATIONALIST PEOPLE’S COALIATION
CANDIDATES: Francis Joseph Escudero, Loren Legarda, Vicente Sotto III, and Tessie Oreta (These folks deserve each other…)

PDP-LABAN
